Underutilized Beneficial Fruits

The underutilized fruit crops are those which are neglected and traditionally used for food, fiber, fodder, oil or medicinal properties, but which have been overlooked by scientific research and development workers. Though these plants are rich source of vitamins and minerals and they also have medicinal properties. They have a great potential to provide income to rural micro-entrepreneurs. Unfortunately the lack of attention leads to their under-exploitation and make them endanger due to continuous genetic erosion, ultimately leading to disappearance.
